This vintage recipe for black forest profiteroles helped win me star baker on the FOXTEL show, The Great Australian Bake Off!

My classic profiteroles are given an international twist with flavours of the Black Forest. Airy craquelin choux puffs are filled with chocolate crème patissiere, Amarena cherries and kirsch Chantilly cream.

I am an old soul who loves all things vintage. I love vintage clothes and collect vintage aprons. Our home is full of vintage furniture and art. I have a vast collection of West German vintage pottery – my gorgeous mum shares my love and often goes hunting for me. Mum and I also collect vintage cookbooks (of course!). I love vintage Australian Women’s Weekly cookbooks from the 1970s.

My bakes are often very vintage too. Which I why I loved this week’s episode of the Great Australian Bake Off: Vintage week.

Please watch me bake this, and other delicious recipes, on The Great Australian Bake Off – Tuesdays at 8.30pm on FOXTEL and available On Demand.

And, if you want to bake along, the full recipe has been published. You can find it here! X

This is only one of a range of vintage recipes on my website – many based on Women’s Weekly vintage recipes. Check out the full range of recipes here!
